Susan Gring
Middleburg, VA
A lifetime of being fascinated by the arts, Susan did not attend art school, but instead pursued a lifelong and satisfying career in health care. She nurtured her passion for nature, creativity, color and textures in gardening and only enrolled in formalized art education later in life. After experimenting with oils and watercolor, Susan settled on acrylic mediums finding inspiration in her classes and joy in her newfound community of artists. Henry Moore once said “to be an artist is to believe in life.” Susan truly found a joie de vivre in painting and today that joy is awakened in her many paintings that evoke her love of nature. From living on a large lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains to now living in Loudoun County, she has always been surrounded by abundant opportunities to paint scenes of the beautiful lands.
