Catherine Hillis

Catherine Hillis is a daydreamer and a bit of a gypsy. Wherever she happens to be is probably where she’ll be painting, whether in the studio or outdoors. If the light is just right and there’s a compelling narrative, brushes and paint come out. An authority on the fluid medium, Hillis teaches around the world, has authored many articles, and she serves as a judge for the arts community.  Her work has been published in books and magazines, including the ‘Splash’ series, Watercolor Artist Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur and PleinAir Magazine. Paintings by the artist are included in museums, as well as corporate and private collections. Hillis invites you to join her on a journey through her work, come and travel to  another time and place, and find yourself lifted with a satisfied smile on your face.
