How to place a Max Bid on an Andriod :
-

When you select “Bid” on an art piece you will be prompted to create an account and add all your information the system requires. You will need to enter your name, e-mail, payment information and create your own password. Once this step is done once, the system will remember you and you will not have to re-enter that information for future bids.
-
How do I sign in?The first time you place a bid, you will see the option to create an account on the checkout page. After that, the system will remember your information, so you will not need to sign in again.Alternatively, you can click 'log in' in the header at the top of the page, where you will be prompted to either log inor create an account. The reason why we ask people to log in is so that we can streamline the bidding process --from outbid notifications to receipts to being connected with your item at the end.

What is the difference between a Max Bid or Regular Bid?When you are placing a bid, you have the option to set a Regular bid, or place a Max bid. A max bid is the most you are willing to bid on a particular item. After placing a max bid, your bid will increase incrementally $25 from the current bid whenever another bidder makes a Regular bid that is less than your max bid. For Example: Your Max Bid is set to $200. The current bid is set to $100. If someone places a Regular bid for $125, your Max bid will beat it out at $150 automatically. If no other bids are placed for this item at closing, you win your piece at $150. If two individuals try place the same Max bid, the person who is placing the secondary bid will be made aware and will be prompted to place a higher max bid for $25 more than the current Max Bid. If you wish to enjoy the evening and have the platform do the work for you simply enter in the highest amount you are willing to bid. Bidders MAX bids are only visible to Better Worlds and are not made public to any other bidder. At this point you will be notified and can then decide to go back in and make other attempts to win your item manually or readjust your Max Bid amount. If you place a regular bid, you will be required to follow up with subsequent bids and will be notified when your bid is surpassed. You will automatically receive an e-mail and a link to increase your bid. Or at this time you can also decide to switch to Max Bid for hands off bidding.
-
How do I confirm my bid options? For the bidding platform to remain free, Better Worlds gives bidders the option to cover transaction costs, and to contribute to their cause. Please make sure you read carefully upon check out your bidding options. You can choose to not contribute at all, or you can contribute to the school or Better Worlds.
-
Can I "Buy Now"?"No, this option is not available this year.
-
How do I collect the items I won?Once bidding is closed you will receive an e-mail informing you of the items you have won. All winners will need to go through the check out line to process their payment and receive a confirmation receipt before picking up their artwork.
