Kim T. Richards

Kim T. Richards is an artist living in beautiful Loudoun County, VA, and showing her work in the Washington D.C. region. Growing up in Brooklyn, NY, Kim had opportunities to see great art at the many museums in New York City from a very young age. Inspired to pursue a career in art, Kim attended Parsons School of Design where she received classical drawing and painting training, earning a BFA in Illustration. Embarking on a 25 year career in textile design, working in both New York and San Francisco, Kim created many floral designs. Flowers continue to be a strong influence in her work today. Her current body of oil and gouache paintings are focused on the beauty of everyday moments, drawing the viewer’s attention to the things they might walk by without noticing. Both colorful and contemplative, her paintings can be found in private collections throughout the US.
