Lilla Ohrstrom

Lilla Matheson Ohsrtrom ATR-BC is an artist and art therapist residing in The Plains VA. Currently she specializes in canine sculpture. She made her first sculpture of a dog 30 years ago for an Orange County hunt trophy. She has been the artist in residence and owner of Youngblood Art studio and gallery since 2001. Mixed media sculpture and all manner of clay formation from ceramic sculpture to functional pottery to cast bronze are among her choice materials. She also works with paint, fabric, found objects and collage. Her formal education began at Parsons School of Design in Paris. She worked and exhibited in France. She studied at Ecole des arts decoratif in Strasbourg where she also had a residency at the Ecole d'architecture. She has studied at RISD, VCCU, the Corcoran School of Design and has a master of arts degree from The George Washington University. Lilla's work has been exhibited internationally and can be found in private collections across the country and in France. Lilla has a private art therapy practice at YAS, where she engages with people of all ages helping them use their own creativity to navigate life's challenges.
