Elizabeth Parris

Elizabeth Parris is a painter, potter and teacher from the Midwest, where she earned a BFA in fine arts from The University of Missouri at Columbia. Her current work focuses on the shifting perceptions, boundaries and modes of human consciousness and the interconnected nature of fantasy or the imagined world and the illusive nature of a shared reality. Her work is heavily influenced by her interest in minimalist art, abstract expressionism, religion politics, morality and concepts like nirvana and transcendence. Elizabeth currently resides in Central Florida where she is the children’s programming Director for the Leesburg Center for the Arts.
